Still only young Carly has got her chance after impressing between the sticks for Premier League side Sunderland - and she is not letting it slip away.

While her debut against Scotland in March 2007 was the first time she has been involved with the senior set up, Carly has a wealth of experience for England through the youth teams and will be counting on that in future.

As a goalkeeper Carly inevitably looks up to Rachel Brown, another who proved early on in her career that age is no restriction if you are hard working and talented enough.

Carly was a member of the England Ladies World Cup Squad that went to the FIFA Womens World Cup in China.
