Named WISL Goalkeeper of the year in 2003/2004 , he was also MISL Goalkeeper of the year in 2007/2008

FULHAM goalkeeper David Stockdale is set to remain at Home Park.
The 24-year-old stopper, named man of the match in the Pilgrims' 1-1 draw with high-flying Swansea on Tuesday, should complete a one-month extension to his loan deal from Craven Cottage later this week.
Argyle head coach Paul Mariner confirmed that Stockdale, who has played six matches in his first month's loan, would be staying with the Pilgrims.
"He is returning for another month," said Paul. "We're trying to get it [for longer] but we're happy with what [Fulham manager] Roy Hodgson and his staff have asked."
Paul highlightred three key contributions from his young custodian in the midweek draw.
"He made three saves," he said. "Two early on in the first-half with his feet and the one with his hand late on was a great save.
"My viewpoint is that he's improved the team. He helps the unit and he helps the back four, so we're delighted that he's joined us."

In the Build up to this Week's Womens League Cup Final , we caught up with PRO-GK Endorsee Carly Telford to ask her about her thoughts on the game and some of the experiences of getting to the top
PRO-GK :
Carly , your quite a experienced goalkeeper for someone of your age , With all your International experience with England at various age groups , going to the FIFA Women's world cup with the National team , your debut against Scotland and not to forget your Player of match performance in the Women's F.A Cup Final a few years ago , what would you say is the highlight of your career so far ?
C.T :
Well its hard to pick out of the above... Aswell as first ever playing for england for the u17's v France, playing in the u19 Euros!! Hmm probabyl my senior debut for England v Scotland I played well so it was a good experiance! Altho FA cup was close if we hadn't of been beatin it wud have been a perfect day but I can't say the best day was losing an FA cup final :)
PRO-GK :
You recently was awarded a central contract by the F.A , how has this helped your progression ?
C.T :
I think its a great step forward for me and all the other players on one. I can personally now see and feel the effects of training full-time which I've never had before as trying to accomodate both work travelin to leeds and england trainin was hard to all fit in!
PRO-GK :
The female game in the UK is growing all the time , where do you see it in 5 years time?
C.T :
Well the superleague is starting in 2011 which again is a big step forward for the womens game and is an important one if we are to keep up with other nations such as USA who have the pro league! The superlegue is allowing more money to be pumped into clubs so facilities, pay, staff and teams can get better and stronger. ESPN has also bought into the legue so television will again hoepfully promote the game! So maybe we can be proffesional female footballers in the next 5yrs!
PRO-GK :
Is there any advice you can give to any young female goalkeepers out there wanting to become the next Carly Telford?
C.T : To always have fun, that's most important! Listen to your coaches and family they can help you make descions and push you when the time is needed. Just make sure you work hard and take any oppurtunitys that you get as you never know what doors they may open!
PRO-GK :
What is a typical match day for CT in terms of preperation?
C.T : Well I've forgotton its been that long since we have played.. :) we have only played twice in 14 weeks!! But as we play arsenal tommorow I can let you in with what I will be doing... As its away we travel the day before on the bus.. Nutrition and hydration r most important in prep for tommorow so sipping juice and eating well are most important on this 5hr journey! Then a good meal tonight and a early night will help, then up tomorow for good breaky, probably a team meeting then bak on the bus.. The ipod goes in and the fluid intake continues, then at grounf hava walk on pitch see area, then time to get changed and go WIN!! :)
PRO-GK :
How pairs of gloves would you normally take with you on match day ?
C.T : Probably 2-3 especially with how pitches are and weather.. Having a dry spare pair helps a lot on a wet wintery day!
PRO-GK :
What made you decide to wear PRO-GK ?
C.T : Well when I was sent a pair to try I kept an open mind.. I knew what I liked in a glove and it was like a perfect match I loved them.. Not only the design on the glove.. But the fit, shape, grip and duration the glove last was especially something I liked! I hate havin to get rid of a pair of gloves I like just because the foam is falling out the fingertips after a couple of games! With PRO-GK they last a hell of a lot longer and the performance of the glove never let's me down!

C.T : Fantasic, Durable, Flexible, The Best

PRO-GK endorsee David Stockdale has this morning signed on loan with Championship Plymouth Argyle. The 24 year old Fulham Stopper will be with the Home Park Club initially for a month.

Stockdale spent time on loan last season with League Two Rotherham United and also won promotion to the Championship with League One Champions Leicester City.
He made is Premier League Début this season for the cottagers against Everton , also playing in the Europa League

Fulham goalkeeper and PRO-GK endorsee David Stockdale has signed an extension to his contract which will keep him at the Club until the summer of 2013.
Stockdale joined the Whites from Darlington in 2008 and made his Premier League debut this season in Fulham’s victory over Everton at Craven Cottage.
Speaking from the Club’s Motspur Park training ground today, Stockdale was clearly delighted to have put pen to paper.
“It means the world to me really,” he said. “It was great to be here in the first place and I’m settled here and have had the opportunity to show what I can do. Thankfully the Club has rewarded me.
“The keepers here are great to learn from and there’s a wonderful rapport, if I can do half of what Schwarzer and Zuberbuhler have done in their careers, it would be a great career to look back on. I’m working with the best here at Fulham and it was nice to get an opportunity in the Premier League against Everton earlier this season.”
